You all know how i feel about dressing up in pink, manicures, dinning with my girlfriends and well, just being ~~a typical bimbo just that i'm not blonde~~ pampered. In fact, sometimes i think I'm in need of therapy because of the way i think. Like i love all things pink,white and floral.I'm just a typical girl who believes that yes, fairytale do exist. How naive can that be. I'm turning 22 and I have to admit, being 21 has taught me a lot and I'm really enjoying every single part of my life. I mean, what's there to hate about life?

As usual, I'll come up with something I've done in 21 to end this chapter of my life. Reading back on the 20things i've done in 20, i'm glad that whatever i wished for my 21st did came true in the end !

1. Lose weight{finally}

Yes , it's true. I used to be fat, i look hideous back then. And while this may be an indictment of my social life ,it is also an indictment of my relationship with my weight & body. Not suprisingly, my weight has always been going up and down. I love food {that's the understatement}. I adore food. Hence i got a love-hate relationship with the weighing machine.HAHA. So yes, back to weight gaining. I gained like 6 kg over 1-2 years and B has always been complaining about my weight issues. Until one day, he totally hit my limit and I decided to hit the gym. I've stop dancing for 2 years or so and that equates to the amount of time I've not been exercising.

I managed to shed of the 7kg and very euphoric about it. I have been working out and eating healthier so i look forward to every weight in and love the new me in mirror. For a while, I'll rejoice in the freedom of not weighing myself .Until uni starts and the weighing scale starts spitting out things I cannot understand. Instead of hitting the gym 3-4 days per week, i went to gym 1-2 days/ week. Instead of eating healthy i started eating rubbish to keep me awake while I'm doing last minute assignments. I gained weight again . Fret not, there's a powerful explosion of anger within me and I'm going back to the gym now . No, I'm not aiming to lose more weight, I just wanna get rid of flabby parts! You know what, it's addictive.

2. Meeting new people & Events!

I love meeting new people. I love meeting new people everyday if i could! I'm really thankful for OMY as through this blogger event , I get to know people like Kaya & Sharon *group hugs*. In 2011, I've attended my very first blogger event hosted by Kanebo Freshel all thanks to Nuffnang :) . Oh, not forgetting Elfaine from TSS too as she has open so much more doors into my life by inviting me to attend events such as K- Pallette Event,Bioessence Slimming Challenge, Bebe Poshe Product Launch and Sunsilk Event just to name a few. I'm really thankful for all these opportunities given to me :D

3.Overseas trip

4. Bought a freaking DSLR

that bf complains it's too heavy for my petite frame -_- . Canon 60D II. BEST.INVESTMENT.EVER . I'm still a newbie though and one of my 2012 resolution is to bring my babyC out for more dates :D I'm going to love you like no other ! Yes, i suck at it. I'll need to go explore and learn!

5. Made my first egg tart ever

6. One of the gifts that my dad gave me when i turn 21 is this gold key necklace . BUT I LOST IT AFTER WEARING IT FOR 10 MONTHS -____- . I'm really sad about it cause i do plan to keep it as long as i lived as it means so much to me but ...sigh.

7. Mr Awesome is still awesome . Not only he celebrated my 21st birthday, he actually celebrated the it the whole week. All sponsored trip to find Kimmy up North sleepovers at Kim's,and oh, he bought me an awesome gift too!

Still love your fringe up though. #Justsayin

9. I WENT TO SG MUSEUM FOR THE FIRST TIME.#whataloser. I love it when B is willing to go on random artsy farty date with me as I'm a geek at heart. I love visiting museums, art gallery and stuffs like that. It'll be more awesome if I'm staying at Europe as they have countless museums and art galleries! I'm so excited for my 22nd birthday and Valentine ! LOL. I'm an efficient organizer. I plan EARLY.

10. Babe Ning big day {she look damn pretty on that day}and it's my first time being a bridesmaid!

11. Had my wisdom tooth extracted. Damn, i hate that it made me look like one freaking chipmunk for a week and it hurts so much

13. Oh yes, Graduated from NYP . I'm glad that I've chosen another path to pursue. I have been wanting to be a nutritionist/dietitian ,but ever since i enrolled into a Food Science course, it made me think twice. For starters,i hate chemistry. I abhor them, that's the reason why i'm not in pharmacy. I love interacting with people {duh} , i dont mind doing lab work but really , trust me, food science is boring. I'm doing psychology now in case you're wondering and you know what, I'm loving it.
14. Break my own record. only club once in 2011 and finally caught Wicked the Musical @MBS. Amazing

Last but not least, i love my life!
I mean it's my life, i have to be emancipated.I always do what i love, be with people i love,and never fail to love myself {except my fats, the irony}.It may sound pretty cliched, but really, life is not a dress rehearsal. Everything comes unexpectedly . I'm happy with what i had, there's so many people that's less fortunate than me. So yeah, being 20 something will be the best years of my life.

New year resolution?
Seriously, i need discipline and To be the best me I can be in all aspects

Singha Full Moon Party 2011

Attended Singha Full Moon party on the 25th Nov@ Attica,which is more than a month ago!I know i know, as usual, my entries are supposed to be up ages ago.Sorry loves, got too caught up in life!Anyway, the event started off pretty rocky i would say cause alot of my guest couldn't enter the event even though they're under my name :3 But it ended pretty well ! Believe it or not, it's the first time i enter a club in 2011 . #whataloser .
Pictures were kinda blur {iphone quality} as my sister brought the camera to her krabi trip . Bummer -.-

The girls taught me an ingenious way to take picture using iphone's front camera in a club.

B& his friend enjoyed the night with free flow Singha beer.

Glad to have these few girls in my uni life because they make it so much more awesome <3 What's more awesome is the fact that we will party together before our midterms!

Christmas with Laneige Styling Romantic Series !

Holla my lovely readers! Miss me much? tsktsk. Finally, i feel like a human again after clearing most of my stuffs and my favourite time of the year is arriving! Honestly, who wouldn't love Christmas?!!

This Christmas, I'm blessed with Laneige again! Laneige had recently launched a new range of products that girls will definitely fall in love with! For those who doesn't know what to buy for your girlfriends/besties, this is it :)

For this entry, I've done at "romantic date" look ! Nothing too heavy, cause you dont wanna look like a Nippon paint when you're going out on a date. Many things can go wrong with thick make up .
What if you watch a tear jerking movie? What if it rained? What if...? There's too many "what if"! So my advice would be..stick to something simple and sweet!

Laneíge Styling Romantic Blusher in #2 and Styling Lip Dup in #SYR34 part of their Limited Edition Styling Romantic Holiday Makeup Collection 2011.

This blusher palette consists of a matte orange, matte peach, frosted white and frosted rose. I love the effect of blending all these colours together as it created a beautiful shimmery glow. On days that i choose to go for a lighter make up, I'll use the matte peace and matte orange. It is able to create a healthy glow .It's highly shimmery, so those who dislike shimmery blush, perhaps you might not like this product.

Since it's a date look, I'm piling frosted rose on top of the usual matte peach and orange .

Of course, highlight the nose bridge with frosted white to create more definition

Not forgetting the chin too!

The styling lip dup comes with a lipstick and lipgloss. Lipgloss glides on easily on my lips and the lipstick is pretty lasting . Totally adore the angled brush which makes application fuss free and most importantly, it is not sticky at all.

This is how i like to apply lipstick & lipgloss on my lips. Not a fan of lipgloss though, so i will only use this when I'm out for something important! Pictures are described below from L-R

2) Using a Concealer to redefine the lips.I love to have defined cupid bow! {picture taken at awkward angle,hence the weird shape}

4) After Lipgloss. I really love the whole look after applying gloss, babypink lips without looking too...striking. Y'know,some babypink can make you look really weird?HAHA. I really love the fact that it's not sticky.

Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil

One more week, and I'm going to be done with school and crazy assignments! Till then, I'll definitely be back to my precious site and blog more often!

Recently, I’ve been testing various types of cleansing oil and one of them is from Fancl! I will do an entry just solely for various types of cleansing oil soon to compare the different types of cleansing oil available in the market right now so stay tuned for that aye!

Well, I’ve been consuming Fancl’s supplement for years now and this is my very first time trying out their skincare products! I went down one fine day to collect the products and the staffs were really friendly! They did a test to measure the moisture level of my skin, luckily mine was 51% and I do not have any skin pigmentation! Whoopeedidoo~ This means that I’ve been taking care my skin very well!

Anyway I’m testing this product on my usual go to school make up so that I will keep the results unbiased.

Fancl Mild Cleansing oil is a preservative free and non comedogenic innovative make up remover that focuses on cleansing power, gentleness and simplicity. It claims to remove tough, long lasting make up, keratin plugs and leaves no oily residue after cleansing. It contains green tea catechin oil { remove free radicals on skin surface} , rosehip oil {facilitates smooth application with minimal friction} and meadow foam oil {dissolves dirt & removes keratin plugs which clog up skin}. It is also suitable for all skin types

How to use it?

Personally, I use one and a half pump. Rubbed them together to warm the liquid a bit then work on dry face. I KEEP MASSAGING IT FOR 30S OR SO TO ENSURE THAT THE MAKE UP AND GRIME ARE FULLY EMULSIFIED. Gradually, add a lil water and massage it again until everything is fully emulsified. This is my own method though as I felt that it works better this way ! The recommended usage is Pump 2 times (or about 50-cent coin size) on dry palms then smooth oil over face and gently message into makeup and grime. After that just rinse thoroughly with water! Do tell me whats your favourite way of using aye ^^

Do note that you still need your usual cleanser after this step!

* Yes, it is able to remove my mascara + K pallete eyeliner which is why I did not follow the routine mentioned in my previous review on another brand’s cleansing oil
* Cleansing oil are easier to work with.
* My skin felt plump and hydrated after cleansing.
* Does not contain mineral oil

In conclusion ,this product is very gentle, as not much effort is required to remove the make up! I’ll definitely get another one as I’ve used up half of my current bottle! Do take not this product is preservative free, thus the shelf life after opening is 120 days, and can be kept unopened for 1 year from manufacturing date.

Anyway, I was invited to attend Nuffnang Olay 360 event @ The White Rabbit,Dempsey some time ago & I've brought Sharon along with me!!

I'm always a fan of TWR irregardless of going there in the day or at night.

Review:Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Cleansing Oil

A while ago, I was sponsored with the newly launched Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid {SHA} Hydrating Cleansing oil. Well, I'm a big fan of cleansing oil since I've been using Shu's for like ....4 years! I was really excited to receive this as well as Hada Labo SHA Lotion is da bomb too.

It is made up of two key ingredients,namely, high purity olive oil{enhance cleansing } and SHA {provide moisture}. It is also water soluble and does not leave skin with any greasy residue. As usual, Hada Labo's newly launched cleansing oil does not contain any addictives,fragrances and mineral oil.
-products that contain mineral oil do clog up your skin! read the label ladies!-

I'm testing this product on my usual go-to-school make up look .
Aqualabel's Sunblock, Laura Mercier Concealer, Laura Mercier Loose Powder, K-palette 24 hr tatoo eyeliner {black}, Shiseido Perfect Mascara and K palette eyebrow pencil.

My make up isnt thick at all.

How do i use it?

1. Pump a small amount into the cotton pad as shown

2. Place the cotton on top of each eye for 10-20s then remove the make up.

3. The continue with 1-2 pump{depending on the amount of make up & size of your face} and work into your skin.

4. Add with a lil water to emulsify the product

5. Rinse.

- No oily residue upon washing it off.

- Face is smooth and soft after washing the product off.
- Skin felt really hydrated.
- As usual, cleasing oil does fogged the vision for a while if the product gets into your eye. So remove contact lens first.

- Does not remove stubborn make up as the product claims. The thing is, K-palette eyeliner is not even "stubborn" to begin with...
- Does not remove my mascara completely when i first use the product . Only can remove the mascara with the method i mentioned above.

Oh yes, I do follow up with a facial cleanser after removing my makeup! I'm very meticulous when it comes to skin cleansing & make up removing. Whether the product can effectively remove all the residues at one go doesn't really matter to me because I will still use eye make up remover as my first step,water base make up remover -> cleansing oil then facial cleanser. If you are as meticulous as me, yes, this product is good. But if you're a lazy bum who expect one product to do everything, then perhaps you need to reconsider...unless your eye make up product is not as stubborn. But i think it's really good for foundation :)

Met up with Sharon & Kaya {right after her Japan trip} for sunday brunch at Antoinette @ Mandarin Gallery . For a period of time, i keep going back to Mandarin Gallery just for brunch/highteas . It's one of my favourite hang out place in Orchard right now {obviously it's because of the food}.

Personally i love Marie Antoinette ,people always judge her from her accusatory sayings' let them eat cake'. But history had proven that she did not even said that and she did not even spend the French' money, the money she spent was her old family wealth. Gosh,she died so tragically.She's the epitome of epicurean ! Anyway,back to food.aiks~

Food was pretty awesome and wallet friendly. Portion does vary depending on what you've ordered.Given the opulent ambiance and temping desserts, i'll prolly head back there next week with Cheryl Twinny again! I'm craving for the angmoh prata.lol.

Cheesecake Fantasy.Honestly, the ice cream is really fantastic to me.

It was recommended by both Kaya & Sharon and i ought to try it out since it was so highly raved by em and darn. It was good, but it wasn't diet friendly 0.0

and lastly a group shot that didnt look so formal! I love the fact that all of us were grinning ear to ear like little girls who's queuing up for sweet treats!

It's always awesome hanging out with them and i suggest we should meet up soon for another foodie hunt ^^

Anw, Happy Weekend people! I still have make up school tomorrow which is the ultimate bummer.Then again, I'm meeting the homies for lunch. I wonder how all of em look like right now.tsktsk~

Rise & Shine Lovelies! Life's been great as usual, nothing much i could complain about! School had just started not long ago, and i got a feeling I'll be really really busy juggling everything. Just gonna do an update on my life so that this tiny site of mine isnt filled with reviews {i know it gets boring}

Attended Babe Ning's wedding over a month ago and no, she isn't pregnant-.- Everybody keep asking about it and it gets really annoying.

It's one of those events that i can catch up with long lost friends that I've known when i'm 14 ! Great meeting old friends like Kylie & Veron!It's really fun hanging out with the girls dolling up in my sister room and figuring out how to do each other's hair! Felt like we were preparing for prom~

Amethystory Skincare Line Review

It contains mineral {amethyst}hence the brand name!
It looks pretty awesome in tv commercial so I've decided to give this a try ! I was sponsored with the products below..

The common ingredients found in Amethstory are:
Amethyst:To enhance skin rejuvenation to keep skin smoother and supple
Hyaluronic Acid : Provides intense hydration & retains water in skin

Bubble wash seems to be everywhere these days...hmm..Similar to Biore's Cleansing Foam, it contains hyaluronic acid to boost up the skin moisture. In addition, with Bio Energy Fluid{an ingredient used in Laneige Water Bank Series} it is able to provide ample mineral to moisture the skin. Pump 1-2 pumps and massage into face to remove all the dirt and grime.

No "tightness" of skin after wash,i use it after my facial cleansing oil and it's pretty good. Biore's will feel more "moisturized"after wash,but i dont like that feeling. I felt like it doesn't do the job well :/

Less fluffy as compared to other brands,hence, needed more pumps in comparison to work up the lather.Does foam cleanser clean better? Nobody knows,but it's really fun to pump it and they deplete faster than your usual milk cleanser/cleanser,thus, cost per use is definitely higher than the usual.

I pump appropriate amount onto my dry palms and lather. White flakes will be formed ,black {if your skin is really dirty}. Skin feels really smooth afterwards and it does it jobs! I've been using this on my body,like elbows, ankles,feet,soles instead of my face!

Watery texture and you can start lathering them!

Notice i've got some greyish flakes instead of white ones on my palm! Cant believe it's so dirty{crazy amount of dead skin} that i have. That's when i started using this product all over my body. I think it's a good product to determine where you need more exfoliation,tsktsk .Areas like my face doesnt even product greyish flakes:/

Nothing i could say about this product,though i hope they create a version for the whole body instead :3

Besides amethyst,hyaluronic acid and bio energy fluid, this product contains another ingredient called Tranexamic Acid which can help to fight dark spots and brightened the skin.

Smells nice, sleek packaging,does smoothen my skin but as for brightening, i cant tell even after using for 4-5 days.

The toner is not good enough to substitute for my usual skin care routine. It absorbed rather slowly into skin and it leaves a sticky feeling.

You could give the product a try, especially mineral aqua gel and foam cleanser!

Was invited to attend an event sponsored by Hoyu and GC Salon for a inter-tertiary salsa competition at Suntec . My compact camera is getting pretty crappy these days, so pictures in this entry is from the other bloggers who attended the event and my +1 Jasmine's Iphone! {cant believe iphone is better than my compact:/}

The event started off with GC Salon's stylist giving my hair a make over :3 She just curl my hair ends and simply clip all of them up with bobby pins! She makes it look so easy

We were ushered to this VIP seat after our makeover, pretty awkward sitting right in front with the rest of the people standing up !

Anyway, My hairstylist name is BLUE. I was complaining to her that my hair ends look really dry because my washed out copper brown colour. She was really patient and keep suggesting me what colour i should try etc. So yeap, I ended up trusting her completely{without knowing what colours that goes on my hair}. Brave ,i must say.

Taken right after.

End up having 3 colours on my hair, subtle colours which i adore!
Firstly, i had dark brown as my base colour, to even out my previous hair colour and to make my hair ends look more healthy.
Then,burgundy as my underlight and copper brown as my highlight!
Tho the colour isnt obvious in the pictures{yet}, but the burgundy is slowly showing itself this few days ^^. It's pretty sad whenever i wash my hair though, cus the burgundy is a really pretty shade of purplish red and i know it will keep fading till it turn brown.sigh.

Overall, the change wasnt drastic, i told her not to give me anything drastic as yet so i wont have a heart attack and faint on the spot.
I love the subtle change ^^

Easy Basic Egg Tart Recipe

Honestly, do you guys agree with me that homemade food by your mother always tasted the best?
Mhmm, I still remember the days that my mom used to make kueh lapis , chwee kueh,taro cake, carrot cake and pumpkin cake {just to name a few} . Those days were long gone ever since all my siblings moved out and making all these had became a hassle !

Egg tarts had been one of my favourite pastry and I've decided to learn this recipe from my mother since I'm home for a couple of days! Please do not laugh at the not so perfect egg tarts!

Ingredients
This one batch is able to make 28 egg tarts ^^

Alot ingredients are missing from this picture! My apologies!

For the crust you will need
400g Flour
70g   Icing Sugar
200g   Butter { for cheaper alternative can use margarine instead,but the crust will taste diff}
1       Egg

i know alot recipes uses milk powder, but personally i don like the taste of milk powder.

For the egg custard
120g Sugar + 250ml water
5 Eggs
1 Packet of 250ml Full Cream Milk

Add all the ingredients in A into the mixing bowl and mixed it using a machine mixer. Some people may suggest mixing the dough by hand , well, it all depends on personal preference.

As for Past B, whisk all the eggs and sieved it out to prevent bubbles forming on the surface of the egg tart.

The sieved egg mixture added with sugar and full cream milk

With the dough {ingredients A} you can start forming small balls and placed them on the moulds and start forming the base by pushing it outward.

Then preheat the oven to 150 degrees then placed the tray of moulds into the oven.

Do remember to check the oven every now and then to prevent charring! For mine, i left it there for approximately 15-20 minutes!

Mhmm, I love freshly baked egg tarts! It's best to eat it hot! Yum !

For the next try, i would love to try pandan flavour egg tart! I bet that would taste lovely :3 Who knew, making egg tarts are so easy!

For the Beloved One – Melasleep Whitening Bio-Cellulose Mask

I had come across this mask when I was shopping for my Urban Decay Naked Palette a few weeks back in Sephora. What caught my attention is the fact that this box of mask containing only 3 pieces cost a hefty amount of $68 SGD! I cant help but wondering what's so good about this mask that makes the price so steep, it's even pricier than the great Dior eye mask{which discontinues in Sg&Msia,godknowswhy}.After doing some research only then i realized this product is highly raved in Taiwan by Taiwan Beauty Experts and Celebrities like Barbie Hsu (大S), Annie Yi (伊能靜) and Niu Er (牛爾)! Coincidently, all three of them have ridiculously good skin!

Then, I was privilege to be given the opportunity to do a review on this product. Truth to be told, after using this product, I finally know why it cost so much!

The mask is made by fermenting complex microorganism flora and incoporating these ingredients into this fiber mask. Bio-Cellulos Fibers mask Organic nano fiber is also regarded as the safest mask material and it's diameter is only 20 nanometers. WHICH MEANS, the essence got penetrate into the skin much more faster and works on cell regeneration !

Well, i wouldn't bore you with the detailed scientific information, but here are the major ingredients and functions!

- Lumiskin: Prevents melanin from forming by way of adjusting calcium ion density to keep the tyrosinase in inactive state.
- Melaclear2: Interferes tyrosinase activity by multiple ways; protease included to accelerate spot/keratin removing, rapidly making the complexion bright and flaws eliminated.

How to use:

1. Clean face prior to use

2. Tear up the mask package, there are three layers inside the package, take out the elastic and translucent bio-cellulose mask.

3. Spread the wet side of the mask (the side attached to the semi-translucent paper) on your face

4. Wait for 15-20 minutes, peel off the mask and continue your skin care as usual.

Boo. This is me with the mask on. I have a habit of putting on a mask then go do whatever i had to do. For instance, blow drying my hair, planning an outfit, etc.

The After.

The spot is definitely lighter and my skin is much more radiant :3

I looooooove the unique texture of the mask and the fact that it does not have ear hooks yet it can still stick onto my face! I left the product in the refrigerator for approximately 10 mins prior to use and with the unique "jello" texture, the chilled mask definitely felt refreshing and calming on my skin !

1 packet of this product is jam-packed with essence. I applied the remaining essence on my underarm{ I feared for ugly underarm even though i don have one,then again, prevention is better than cure}.

After application, the mask whitens my face, tighten my pores and yes, my skin felt more "plumper" after one use.My skin look great instantly,felt fresh and awake with glowy skin.

Due to the high amount of essence presence in the mask, it will leave behind a film of liquid on the face and i massage the excess in circular motion. HOWEVER,it's too thick and i do not have time to wait for it to be fully absorbed, i end up using hair drier{cold setting},to blow dry it for 1-2 sec. Make up went on like a dream after this :)

Honestly, it would definitely be the price. It's too costly for my routine weekly use.Although the mask is reusable, but personally, i don't dare to reuse any mask as I'm afraid of bacteria overgrowth on the mask. Come on, bacteria need water to grow and what does masks made up of? Mostly water,which pretty much explains my reason.

The Change Up Movie Review

Watched The Change Up the other day at Great World City with B all thanks to omy.sg !

With B right outside Great World City. It's not fair that his eyes are so much more bigger than mine!

In short, the movie is about Mitch (Ryan Reynolds) and Dave (Jason Bateman) are two childhood friends who thinks that grass is greener on the other side.eWhile Dave is an overworked lawyer, husband and father of three, Mitch has remained a single, quasi-employed man-child who has never met a responsibility he liked. Following a drunken night out together, Mitch and Dave's worlds are turned upside down when they wake up in each other's bodies and proceed to freak the &*#@ out. Despite the freedom from their normal routines and habits, the guys soon discover that each other's lives are nowhere near as rosy as they once seemed.

I love the twins!

Personally i think the movie is great but not fantastic. There's so many version of body swap movies even Singapore had their very own body swap movie featuring Fann Wong and Gurmit Singh. I still prefer Freaky Friday with Lilo, she's a great actress before she turn all prima donna.

The Changed Up is just a male version of the "body-swap-movie-franchise" with similar storyline but a more mature version as this involves a lot about understanding the family needs and how to prioritize things in life. My favourite part will still be the part that they are taking a piss in the public!

A light hearted movie for a good laugh after a long day of work,other than that, it's pretty average. Of course, Ryan Reynolds is still as cute as ever :3hurhurhur.It's a plus point for having him in the movie!

I'm so in love with this eyeshadow palette right now and now i understand why this highly raved palette is selling like hot cakes all over the world!

Though it's pretty pricey in Singapore {$78 }when USA is selling at $44 .

Ippudo is ♥. I've been patronizing Ippudo quite frequently{cheap & good food} ,though the authentic ramen at Muhammad Sultan is still the best!

The frustrating thing is, I've been wanting to upload my video to youtube but it kept failing.
Bummer.

Sup People!
This blog hasn’t been living up to its name lately, has it? It’s been lacking a whole lotta everything,
particularly in the the "personal" department. So I'll update on my life now shall we?CLICK TO READ MORE!

The other day B had decided to be super sweet and brought me out for a date {which is rare, i swear}. I guess after being so long together two had to put in the effort to create more sparkles in life else it'll just fall apart like any other relationships. He had given me the date that i could only dream of, a date from the movies! I was so happy throughout the entire day that I'm pretty ecstatic to even be blogging about it .teehee.

If you had watched No Strings Attached by Ashton Kutcher & Natalie Portman ,you would have notice the date is pretty similar to the movies, when Aston decided to court Natalie Portman for real and she decided to hit him because he was giving her such a great time..yea. Minus the "beating-him-up" part for me of course..

Knowing I'm a sucker for brunch, he forced himself out of the house early in the morning to had brunch at Food For Thought at Queen Street!Good food at a cheap price!

Did i mentioned that he always take awkward pictures of me which ended up not being posted here. BECAUSE HE'S A LOUSY PHOTOGRAPHER WHO TAKES UGLY PICTURES OF ME. BOOOOO~

The standard order for a big breakfast has to be the Full Works,but knowing their portions are wayyy huge I ordered House Works instead. I love satisfying breakfast with a slab of spongy cake{ very buttery,i love}, topped with scrambled eggs, served with bacon, sausages, hash brown balls and salads.Honestly, i would recommend girls to get Basic Works{kid's menu} instead if you're not sharing!

Hoisin Har Cheong Baby Back Ribs

This is one of the popular mains and the previous time i went there with a couple of my girl friends, i saw alot people ordering it so i wanted to give it a try! It tasted funny in my opinion, i researched about it and so far, everybody is raving about it! However, B and I didnt really like this dish, particularly the highly raved sauce. It's too overpowering to the extend i cant taste the meat just the sauce {in my opinion}. Potato gratin that goes with it is still as awesome as i remember it to be.

Then he brought me to National Museum of Singapore! Close friends of mine would definitely know I'm a geek at heart.

It's free for students ,but i forgot to bring out my student id!

Singapore Living Galleries - Fashion

This gallery is filled with clothes worn by socialites in Singapore back in the 1940s till 1970s. The details that went into their dresses is so precise! I love this corner where they played various types of sappy old romance songs which originates from the 1950s!

Inside Singapore Living Galleries- Film & Wayang sections. One of my favourite section as I love all the classic old movies. Though the technologies back then were not good but the story line were so light hearted! There's no movies on war/terrorists/contamination/crazy poltergeists etc. It's like an era full of happy sappy romance movies. Believed it or not, I watched all P. Ramlee shows {with subtitles of course, i could barely speak proper malay yet alone understand their old poems}. One of my favourite malay old shows are Bawang Merah/Bawang Putih, something like that! Oh, not to mention all the English classics that i can recite the lines... Funny how i love all classics instead of Chinese's 0.0

I pretty stocked when we entered the this gallery filled with P.Ramlee's work and they even show his movies !

Well,well, it's interesting to know watching movies back then you gotta take a "break" .

Then of we go to Singapore History Gallery.

Each of us were given a companion as our guide tour.

There's so many things to see inside Singapore History Gallery, overall it was a great experience ! We even went to photography exhibitions<3

It was such an awesome date even though it's really simple. Then again, i don't need anything that's over the top to make me feel appreciated and special. Sup people! I just came back from Babe Ning's big day and I'm mad tired. But i still wanted to do a quick update on my site before i hit the sacks! I only slept for 3 hours T.T

Received Bioré Marshmallow Whip Facial Wash recently to try out!

Huh? what is this? Marshmallow Whip ..Facial Wash??

This Marshmallow Whip Facial Wash boasts collagen and ultra fine, high-density foam. The high-density foam is supposed to act as a “cushion” between the hand and face during cleansing, reducing pressure and stress on the skin so you wont get premature aging skin that easily!

To use, just dispense a pump onto palm and massage onto wet skin.Uber sufficient cause i dont need to lather to get the foam!The instructions mentioned to use two pumps but to me one pump is more than enough cause the lather is very creamy.

The smell is rather sweet and floral. Product is pretty hassle free and you can obtain the refill pack easily.Bouncy ultra fine foam that spreads easily onto the whole face and neck is a plus point and it does not rip off the natural oil present on skin leaving a "dewy" feel after wash.

Personally, i find the "dewy" finish abit too moist for my liking. I prefer facial wash that let me feel like my face is thoroughly clean . I do know the tight feeling means that the chemicals used in the product are too harsh, but personally i prefer that feeling{of course,not too tight}.

After lathering the foam is flat, dense, fluffy and ultra fine! It will not even drip at all! Most importantly,

you do not need to waste your time and effort to lather the cleanser into fluffy foam .

Even if you place it upside down it will not drip at all!Most importantly, it contains 150 pumps in the bottle!

KC,my favorite bitch with my old friend Babe Ning were here on this sunny island for a couple of days. I have no idea how to start a blog entry, I’m contemplating if I should blog by “Day 1 ,Day 2” style, then I realized the pictures were so outta place so I’ve decide to blog according to the places that we’ve went! Oh well, life as usual, catching up, eat and seriously, what is there to do in Singapore besides eating?

Anyway, on a late windy Saturday morning, we dragged ourselves out of the bed and get dressed for brunch at Prive, Keppel Bay. Coincidentally, we were really colorful on that day, looking like traffic light {literally}.

If you ask me, what’s my favourite meal of the day is, I’ll tell you the answer without hesitation : brunch. I’m definitely a morning person and I cant live without breakfast! Then again, brunch is the perfect combination of breakfast and lunch choosing between sweet or savoury {in this case, BOTH sweet and savoury was consumed at Prive}.

Both of them looking so tired, I think I'm the only cheery one .I'm a morning person,unlike them, they're uber active at night!

We choose to sit outside,it's a breezy Saturday!The ambiance was really awesome, tables spread out over the spacious area overlooking all the million dollar yachts cant help but to day dream ....Ahhh~la dolce vita...... Prive is one of those places that is perfect for brunch with the girls or a date night {hinthint}!

As for me, i started with TWG's Emperor Sencha. The food is made for sharing in my opinion because the portion is quite hefty !

N.Y. Burger 200g Wagyu Patty, Melted English Cheddar, Crispy Onions, Aioli & served with Fries

The wagyu patty is probably one of the best burger i had recently ,succulent and seasoned to perfection. The fries are crispy and fragrant , pretty decent on it's own but i still prefer the fries at FFT because FFT fries are made from scratch.The onion ring is a tad too oily for my liking.I wonder if they will serve the patty on it's own cause it's the only thing i love .

Privé Ultimate Breakfast - 2 eggs any way you wanted it done I've chosen scramble egg, Sausage, Bacon, Mushrooms, Roasted Tomato, Baked Beans, Arugula and Toast

Honestly, I think nothing beats the classic American breakfast ,it's common, yet popular all over the world . Nothing can go wrong with this dish.

Tiramisu {contains alcohol}

All i can say is, you gotta try the desserts for yourself . Nothing i describe will do these two desserts any justice! The alcohol in tiramisu is quite thick,lovin it!If I'm not full to the brim, i would have eaten everything!

Baked Chocolate Tart

This is recommended by KC ,a thick ,rich layer of dark chocolate is indeed addictive.However, i think that the base is not buttery enough and too crumbly. Then again, the dark chocolate is good enough to cover the flaws of the base.

Will definitely head back to Prive, not for the food though but for the view . I wanted to try their dinner menu and i belive this place will look magnificent at night!{MAJORHINT}

It was a great dinner and gossip session with the girls- Sharon & Kaiyi at Food For Thougth(8 Queenstreet)!Well, it's just right beside Singapore Art Museum and this is the second branch of the original Food For Thought cafe at North Bridge Center. I met these two lovely girls at the Waterfront Feast event and wham, here we are yakking happily away as if we knew each other for ages!Truth is,this is only our second date! Well, I'm still on my weight loss program,but, i'm willing to put a pause in the program and just let loose for a meal! However, i need to work harder the next day in the gym :/

The interior is simple,cosy and comfortable. It's a brilliant name for a cafe where they will donate part of the earnings to Water International and the United Nations World Food Program.

I would say the star of the night is Butterscotch Peach Crumble, it's so good that the thought of it in my mouth makes me drool so much!Piping hot sweet peaches and berries with a simple scoop of vanilla ice-cream is totally va-va-voom! It's hard to describe this dessert in words unless you try it yourself!

Make Up {2011}

Finally took some time out to take some snap shots of the basic make up products I've been using recently. I believe all girls will change their make up products and styles every now and then but there's definitely a few basic products that they will stick to. Am i right? Anyway, my make up is really simple, unless, I'm in a mood for something fanciful then I'll play up with colours/lashes! If not, i will only draw different types of "eyeliner" to suit my mood. Well, these are the products that i use 80% of the time my previous make up product entry is dated back to 2010. This is an updated entry. I will do an entry on skin care products too ♥

I used to use ZA's sunblock {read the 2010 version} until i found Aqualabel White Protect UV Milk. Both are extremely good products and I've been using ZA's for YEARS ! However, ZA's sunblock does leave a white finish to skin so if I'm out without make up, i look pale and zombie-ish. Then i switched to Aqualabel's because it promised not to leave any whitish colour on skin and boy, I'm using this ever since. I HATE sunblocks that make the skin oily and sticky after and both of this product is awesome :D Sunblock is mandatory for me and after that I will move on to my make up eg; concealer and ending with loose powder. There's only 2 products that i swore my life on : Laura Mercier Loose Powder and Shiseido's Loose Powder. The reason why i got myself Laura Mercier's is because it's a cheaper alternative to Shiseido's . Shiseido's loose powder contains pearl powder , and so far, i couldn;t find a product that can top it off! Laura Mercier would be #2 in my loose powder list. As for Kanebo Freshel BB Cream, i guess avid reader of mine do not need any more introduction on this product. Love it. I'm not a BB cream girl, so i will only apply this when there's parties/events if not, I'll skip it. I wanna flaunt my skin to the whole world.LOL!

I will usually start of with MAC concealer as it got darker shades to cover up my dark circles, then move on to Laura Mercier Undercover Pot . One of the smartest creation cause it contains 2 types of concealer ,one for eyes, another for skin which i rarely use {as shown in pic} and beneath it all there's a loose powder to set the concealer! Then I'll move on to Chanel Ombre D'eau , this product can be use both as a eyeshadow base / eyeshadow! It comes in liquid form ,MUST SHAKE prior to using so the glitters wont come out clumpy. For a natural look, i will use this ONLY then mascara/falsies, awesome on it's own. As for the eyeshadow, Maquillage /Kate will depends on my mood,Stage's Cupcake is for me to highlight the inner corner of my eyes as i find white /champange too boring. Maquillage Dramatical Gel Eyeliner is soft & gentle that glides on smoothly with a hint of shimmer and K Palette Liquid Eyeliner is for my bottom water line.

I dont want to whole world to stare at my chubby cheeks yet I'm lazy to use those contouring colour everytime I'm out~. Lancome juicy tubes are for photos only. I'm not a fan of lip gloss , my hair always stick on my lips :/ Oh well...

Met up with Steffi-o a few days back and I wish we could hang out more before she's off to Manchester!But she's a very very busy person!tsktsk. It's always fun to hang out with her catching up and what's not. Japanese food at Liang Court is always awesome and i want more!! My face is still a lil bit swollen due to the wisdom tooth surgery i had ,brought my baby C out too! Starbucks' Raspberry Cheesecake was sinfully good and I'm forever the Ice Blended Low Fat Java Chip Girl ♡♡♡

Ending this entry with my fav meal of the day Kellog's Special K cereals with organic blueberries and skimmed milk! What a way to start out my day ☺

I love any drinks that pretty much have the chocolate taste,but I'm still Asian after all. I would prefer those made in Asia chocolate drink product instead as they are less sweet. I know some will prefer the Milo {Australia version} but i prefer the local version!

When it's the time of the month, i will drink milo twice-thrice daily! I know it's fattening and all,but i cant help it! Especially when the cramps are torturous, i just want something warm to sooth my body and makes me go "ahhhhhhh..nicee"

Wisdom Tooth Extraction

Sup people! I just did my wisdom tooth extraction yesterday and i look like a chipmunk right now, but not that cute! I'm not kidding. I hope the swell will go down in two days or so! I was under local anesthesia,so throughout the process it was painless,but damn, after the numbness wears off, the pain is excruciating !For a very talkative person like me, i barely even utter a word. Just popped some pills and i went to bed. As for today, the pain is bearable , but the swelling is hideous and now i know.... If i'm THAT fat, this is what i will look like!

The worst thing for me is not being able to exercise & i have to go on a higher calorie diet to aid the healing process. Weird coming from a person who used to hate exercise, but i hated the fact that i have to put a stop to my diet regime !Initially i planned to exercise on Day 3/4,then i found out that vigorous exercise may lead to "dry socket",which looks really awful . Oh well, I'm gonna rot at home with mom's soup and catch up on the few American drama that I've missed! Namely : HIMYM,BBT, True Blood.

Kissable Lips with Lip Ice Sheer Colour!

Tried on different type of make up that day. Recently i love to go light. I barely use lashes unless I'm out to pretty places :) K-Palette 24 hour tattoo eyeliner in brown, K-Palette two way eyebrow shaper, Laura Mercier Loose Powder & Concealer pot, Not forgetting Lip Ice Sheer Colour in Shimmery Pink!

Did i mentioned that i love my lips more than anything else on my face?It's the perfect shape and size for my face, not too thick not too thin and slightly pouty . It will be even nicer if i don't have buck teeth! Personally i dont like to use lip gloss, they're too glossy and sticky for my liking. The most i'll put a dab in the center of my lower lip to add some shine. If not, lip tint is my best pal.

Benefit's Benetint had been one of my best beauty product plainly because it is 2 in one. It never fails to provide natural hue to both my cheeks and lip. However, it does not provide moisture. I was asked to do a sponsored review for Lip Ice Sheer Colour in Shimmer {left} and Strawberry { Right}

From the look of the product, colour is very sheer, only Shimmer had a slight pinkish hue.

The colour in this picture is more true to life.

This product contains shea butter, macadamia ternifolia nut oil ,jojoba oil {high in vit E}, and aloe vera .

My Say

Personally, I'm amazed at both product. It is able to transform lip to a natural shade of beautiful pink hue. Be it strawberry /shimmer stick. Both are able to give the effect.

Strawberry Stick

Goes on clear, then changes to slight pinkish colour,totally lovin it.Cause i love my lip looking "raw" instead of nude.Nude makes me look sick HAHA. I wonder if u girls get what i meant. Moisturizing wise, doesnt make much difference to other brands and i got a habit of reapplying lip balm all day long. I used strawberry stick before i sleep! I dont like having crack lips,thus i keep it moisturize throughout the night.

Shimmer Stick

I used shimmer stick in the day as it has shimmery bits. Other than that, colour and moisturizing effect is pretty similar to Strawberry Stick.What i love about this product is the natural hue given to my lips and the sleek design! I hate applying lip balm that comes in pot. i find it very troublesome to use my hand and apply the lip balm then i need to find a tissue to wipe the lip balm off my fingers because wiping on my clothes is plain gross.

Weekend getaway up north to meet my fav girl K.Kacey. Awesome days spent with her made me missed her so much more right now. How i wish she's staying a stone throw away from me instead of an hour plane ride/3 hour car ride/5 hour bus ride away from me. She's the only person who can sit around sippin tea in the late afternoon with me eating scones,butterscoth and whatnots...Indulging in the finer things in life. Not much pictures taken, too busy updating each other to even take pictures together.

Dropped by Carcosa, one of the historically breath taking place in KL, will definitely go again for the High Tea session.KC's dad Association Dinner...memory is failing me, I don't remember what's the shop name we had our high tea at, all i know is,it's somewhere around Bangsar Village ,Jap food dinner at Mid Valley. Totally awesome. Oh yes, i ruled out my diet plan over the weekend,which caused me a few pounds .I gotta work extra hard in the gym again!

I'm back to ponytail lovin<3,which explains the numerous shots of my hair. My new camera is lovely,but I've yet master any skills so pictures are pretty amateur-ish.If there's such word!

That's all on my life updates. Having spent such an awesome weekend, made my other weekends in August plainly monotonous.Perhaps i should bring my new love out to explore on my own.

5 weeks more to my goal weight! I'm off to bed now!

I was invited to K Pallette event at Fika Swedish Restaurant, Beach Road. Took a cab there, again. I'm gonna stop this bad habit of mine!Canon was the co-organizer for the event too! So most of the pictures in this entry is taken from Canon .I'm quite excited for this event because I've used K pallette 24 hour lasting liquid liner before and it's superb! Secondly, there's so many raves about Fika! Now, I'm killing two birds with one stone by attending this event!

Yes,it is THAT good . However, the main focus of this event is the newly launched two way eyebrow pencil !Sad to say, I'm one of those who cant live without eyebrow pencil cause my eyebrow is too sparse in the end . Tried out this eyebrow pencil and it's my current fav!

Natural looking brows without looking too harsh and i can draw the "winged" look easily using the fine tip liquid liner :)

Then it was make up demonstration by this make up artist from Japan *I'm bad with names :/* I love her make up technique and i thought gyaru's are all about the crazy thick eyeliner and falsies. Her make up is light and subtle ,yet can enlarge the eyes too!

Two types of look was demonstrated and the key to these looks are just eyeliner and falsies!

Left: Natural eye make up with the winged liner. Using the liquid liner dab a few dots at the outer corner of the eyes to create the illusion of thicker lower lash.

Right: Cutesy Gyaru look with the eyeliner drawn downwards.

The bottom lashes used by MUA for the cute gyaru look.I wanna get one of this too!

Lunch was served after the make up demonstration!

I choose pan fried dory fish and Vivian had chosen Rosemary Grilled Chicken. Both dishes were superb!

Weight Loss

I hope you all are having the best week and are looking forward to tomorrow{because it's friday :D}
Just a random update on my life cause I felt that it's been ages since i do an entry on that!
Aiks!

Well, I had been busying myself with work and lots of reading, devoting most of my time to exercising ! I just want to lose those extra kgs !

I'm gonna have a two month break before my uni starts and i guess you'll definitely see more lively updates on this site other than sponsored reviews!

So far I've lost 1.5kg over a period of 3 weeks. 4.5kg to go! Cant believe i can gained 6 kg over a period of 3 years . You cant really see much from my face ,but the fats are tucked in my tummy ,distributed on my thigh ,arms and calves!

Diet wise, I'm eating healthy.
Oatmeal/wholemeal cereals /fruits with skimmed milk for breakfast
2 portions of veg, 1 portion of meat and half a bowl of rice for lunch
and fruit juices/fruits/low fat plain yogurt for dinner.
Not to mention plenty of water of course.

Sad to say, I've reduced so much food intake yet the result isnt significant. All my friends can just eat what i mentioned up there without exercising and they can lose the same amount of weight as i did. Talk about unfairness! Then again, i don believe in crash diets. So no "miracle" weight loss pills/ slimming tea for me. I noticed those who slimmed down using that method tend to look haggard and ended up with dull looking skin!

I've been hitting the gym 3 times a week, each time 2 hours. I'll start by doing 35 minutes of cardio, 35 minutes of strength training and 1 hour of kickboxing/body pump/zumba toning /capoeira classes . Depending on schedule, if there's pilates/yoga after a cardio class,I'll attend it too.

What's my motivation for weight loss?
1)Get this, my boyfriend called me a fat ass . I can tell he's joking,then again, usually people joke with 70% truth.I'm not losing weight because of him. I'm losing weight for my own dignity and to show him who's the boss! LOL
2)I keep dreaming that i'm 150kg,wearing XXXXXXXXL sizes. I look exactly like those people who's in "The Biggest Loser" .

Lastly, RIP Amy Whinehouse. Another talented artist died at 27 ,the cursed age. Shall end this entry with one of my favourite song from her. If it wasn't for her comeback in 2007, the bee hive hair and winged eyeliner will not be in trend either.

The pasta is served in chilli crab sauced filled with tiny bits of chilli crab meat and seafood. To be honest, It caught my attention at the first glance! How often did you see Chilli Crab sauce pasta? It was like a sea of goodness –I can even see the tiny bits of crab meat! When combined with the spaghetti, it was match made in heaven as they both complement each other so much. After the first mouth, I keep eating and eating it because it was simply heavenly.

Molten Lava $6.50
Molten Lava is the Chef’s special own creation of Lava Brownie .The brownie is dense, warm,just the way I like it. It is served with a rather scoop of the excellent vanilla ice-cream. The brownie lived up to its name, very nice rich chocolate ooze out upon slicing open the brownie{hence the name}...moist inside...goes supremely well with ice-cream. Satisfying.

Baked Apple Crumble {$7.90}

Baked Apple Crumble was also excellent. The shortbread crust was crumbly and buttery which provides a nice textural counterpoint to the soft, sweet apples inside. Topped it up with vanilla ice cream and it’s delish!

All in all a great place for family and friends to have dinner at.Set lunches is available at $14.80 nett!Pardon me for the blurry picture!Red Flame Bistro is reasonably affordable too, none of the mains are over $20 in a satisfactory portion for 1 person{2 for me!}.Would definitely recommend this to my friends, especially the food blogger friend of mine who blogs at @Lazy Foodies! Out with the shabby old decor and in with the new glam up cinema!I invited XY to watched the movie with me, thank god she can make it in the nick of time,or else, i'm gonna watch the movie by myself!

Bumped into Sharon too! So glad to see her again and i cant wait for our dine & gossip session with Kaiyi!

It was one of the best chick flick I've seen this year. It's a combination of Sex and the City and Hangover. Though i would say SATC wardrobe is much more glamorous and how could i say no to staring at those pretty Louboutins and Monolos?! The only difference between SATC and Bridesmaid is the crude humor injected. Bridesmaids is a really entertaining show which manages to fill the whole theater with roaring laughter!

Would definitely recommend it to all my girlfriends ! Besides, I'm going to be bridesmaid soon this coming September and thankfully, we wont have all the dramas that is featured in the movie,else...well, i think I'll go crazy like the main role,Annie.

What i like about the show is, it's real. SATC is like a modern fairytale yet Bridesmaids is down to earth with everything you can relate to . tsktsk

The show revolves around the bride to be and 5 bridesmaids which mainly focuses on childhood best friend and a bitch from hell who likes to snatch the BFF away.

A real mother {Rita}is played by Wendi McLendon Covey who is married and a mother of 3 children. She's vulgar and so is her kids.She hates her life and dreams to get a crazy weekend with a bunch of male stripper to spark up her life.

Newly wed Becca is a very innocent young woman .Her role is pretty minimal tho, there's an explicit scene of her doing something wayy crazy.

Annie, the main role of the show leads a crappy life, with no job, no money to pay rents, low self esteem and full of guy issues.I cant help but to notice her greatly toned legs that seems to go on forever!

Lilian is the reason why all the 5 bridesmaid came into pictures.

Overall, it was really a nice experience! I'm laughing throughout the entire movie,especially when Annie wants to get the cop attention by doing uncountable dangerous stunts! Well, I dont wanna give too much spoiler and you must watch it to know how great this film is!

To me,beauty is for everyone so it is great that nowadays various types of beauty products are launching in drugstore . Sometimes, you really pay for what you get,on the contrary,sometimes you dont,you're just buying the brand. Some luxurious brands {esp the one starting with C}'s eyeshadow is crap. Honestly, crap. You pay a hefty amount to get low quality eyeshadow. End up that eyeshadow pallette just sits in one corner to collect dust, either that, or the product dont suit Asian's skin .

It's one of those bags that i can thrash everything in.Wallet, shopping goodies, water bottle, camera,make up pouch {i'm geared up with this 24/7} and everything random. I've chosen to go Bangkok during the Spring Season, Summer Season in Bangkok is literally living hell!

Chilled at Tea Room ,Central World while waiting for P'Tui to end his Jap class! He told us we were surrounded by Thai celeb when we were in there!

Ice blended raspberry yogurt, what a perfect match with the weather!
P Tui brought us to this money changer which is located opposite Central World. It is known to have highest exchange rate in Bangkok!

What a cliched title.

@Union Mall with P'Cat . One of the places that i missed the most in Bangkok. Nick and I used to go there every weekend and we will definitely eat at Oiishi Noodle Bar! I wouldn't say the food is a must have, but it does brings back alot memories.

Never fails to order the Signature Dish!

Yes, the instant noodle from Thailand IS A MUST HAVE.I brought back 10 packet of each flavour to Singapore :/ 10 packets for 50baht {2.50 sgd}.

Lays' Chips is also one of the must have for me! it's much cheaper and got a wider range of flavours :3

Mr Shake. Thai's version of Koi/ Gong Cha, but wayyy better and cheaper too :3

Nothing much really happen on our last day as we literally spent every penny we had on shopping! I was hunting up and down for this "kolo-mee" which is around Pratunam area. They served one of the best Thai version of kolo-mee in Bangkok which cost only 25 baht {sgd 1.00 ?}

One of my fav dish too, Pig Trotter Rice { Kao Kah Moo}. The best pig trotter rice is at MBK Food Court! My mom had been a fan of that stall for more than two decades!

It's very easy to find this shop, it's opposite Platinum Mall.

Arrived Suvarnabhumi Airport 3 hours earlier to check in!I've learn my lesson ,running in the airport with Nick and B is so not fun . Moreover, Suvarnabhumi Airport is huge and budget airline is always at the end of the airport-_-

I dont have acne/scarring/pimples thus , i wont be able to do this sponsored review. BUT, I've found someone who's more suitable to write about it than i do!

B had been experiencing breakouts for quite a while{tho it's not obvious in pictures cause he uses concealer/bb cream at days.*opps*}. I guess the acne is caused by his unknowledgable way of dealing with skin care and i always lecture him about that!! Removing make up is a crucial step in any facial. Be it men/women. Simple as that. Even if you dont apply make up, it is good to use a less harsh {water base} make up remover to remove dirts that is on your face after a whole day out! In my opinion, i don't think cleanser can do all the work. If so, it can be term as a miracle cleaner =.=

Sebum discharge is controlled by mainly testosterone {male hormone} which is why men are prone to acne problems!

If you are prone to less than flawless skin on a permanent basis, a medicated response may be better than just wishing your acne will go away. So far, there is no overnight cure, over the counter products such as Acnes Medicated Skincare can help alot. Although i would advice to give each product an eight weeks trial then move on to another brand if you don see improvement in the chosen brand.

According to my mom, anti aging do work, but not to the extent most people want it to be. Like say, some woman wants to look like 20 when she's 30.NOT POSSIBLE. Look for products containing AHAs { alpha hydroxy acids {AHAs}, antioxidants{vit C/A/E-though it is easier to get these from diets},yeast extracts and vitamin. These will make your skin supple and thus, appear younger!AND ,these ingredients will form a barrier which eventually reveal a brighter complextion!

Honestly, everybody washes their hair, who dont? But, did you wash it the correct way with the correct amount? I highly doubt so. Hair dressers say the no 1 mistake that most people did is overdoing the shampoo! I used to think that more shampoo= more fragrant & less oily hair! Little did i know, too much shampoo will encourage more oil secretion! Not less! Most importantly, rinse thoroughly till you can literally hear your hair squeak!

Step 2 :Condition Right

With Sunsilk products, you will get products ranging from shampoo all the way till leave in conditioners that is customize to suit each individual needs! I've been using the Damage Reconstruction range for a while now and I've switched to Smooth and Manageable Series as my hair no longer have split ends*touch wood*

If your hair is excessively dry and damaged, try using a leave in conditioner in addition to the shampoo and usual hair conditioner! Deep condition is a major must for me. I tend to have split ends every now and then given the fact that i always dye/straighten/curl my hair . Personally, i will apply Sunsilk Hair Recovery Treatment once to twice every two weeks {depending on my laziness or thrice per week if my hair is uber dry!}

Step 3 : Learn the proper drying method!

How you dry your hair will affect its appearance and condition so it's worth practicing the care!Pat dry, instead of rubbing wet hair with the towel ! Same theory applies to the face. Pat dry,instead of rubbing it ! The manager of Sunsilk had thought us that we are supposed to condition our hair with the Leave In Conditioner prior to drying it . Aiks! Seems like I've been doing it the other way round for years! It is important to protect your hair with a conditioner ,heat can improve the health of hair by forcing the moisturizer to penetrate into the hair!

Of course the correct heat temperature is important. Imagine this, after washing your hand, you dry it with hot air {the temperature that use to dry your hair}. In no time , your hand will be chapped ,sensitive and dry!

It was our third and I’m really grateful of what B had planned for me! I wouldn’t disclose much here, due to P&C reasons. Nevertheless, I’m totally over the moon on our third anniversary!

Why yes, there’s definitely the teething problems and such. I got my temper he got his stubbornness etc, I’m glad we’re still supporting each other, mentally and physically.

We do have our differences, but as years passed, we’ve grown so much,or rather I've grown so much. Instead of changing each other, we learn to accept each other for who we are. I guess that’s the fundamentals ,besides trust of course. I am thankful that he's always there to guide me through everything and it's really comforting to have someone whom i can rely on.

Throughout these years,I had learn to accept his instinctive tendencies to focus all his energies into one big thing and minimize the importance of the little things. He will prepare for his exams 3-4 months beforehand, studying everyday and so on. When the date is nearing, we don’t even meet each other at all!Sometimes I wonder why I always failed to learn this from him.Aiks~

Celebrated our anniversary twice this year! I SWEAR I DID NOT DEMAND THE SECOND ONE!
Had the first round at Hokkaido Sushi Restaurant, M Hotel.It was a Omakase Menu,where "It's up to you." This expression is favoured in Japanese restaurants when diners let the chef select and appropriate the dishes.

Kinda lazy to blog about the food in details,but thumbs up for everything. It was one of the best experience i had with regards to Japanese Food!

The 9 course meal started off with mixed salad in vinegar sauce. B doesnt like vinegar so i ate up his portion as well ! Then came Hassen{the appetizer} and 3 types of really thick sashimi!

Grilled salmon with Saikyo miso sauce is delicious and i wish i could have more of it!Scallop Tempura is just average tho~ Oh, J'adore the Wagyu tenderloin beef with foie gras sauce ! DAYUMMMMMMM :D

Sushi and Maki {7 pieces} is the killer for me. I couldnt even finish my portion! Seafood soup is served in a really cute teapot with a mini bowl! It's abit too bland for my liking! Ended the meal with a mango ice cream!

Had another round of Japanese food at Sushi Tei, Vivo City on the actual date.

The same old thing that we ordered. Nothing much to rave about . Or perhaps i'm too tired to blog after hitting the gym for 2 hours . My legs are all wobbly now :/

Ended the day feeling rather blessed,IT'S HIS FIRST TIME PLANNING THE WHOLE DAY!Thumbs up for that :3 All these time,I'm the one who always book for reservation/plan on what to do on our Anni,Sweet Heart Day{we dont celebrate Valentines cause it's overrated}, Birthdays etc So glad that it's different this time !

I'm lucky that I've found him, it's true when they say love comes when you least expected it to be!Never regret the decision i made 3 years ago, that is, to meet up a stranger through friendster.!LOL

Waterfront Feast @ Riverside Point

It was a pleasure to be invited by omy.sg to have a gastronomical experience with the other bloggers! I am not a food blogger, so I'm just going to try my best to describe the dishes aite!

Omy.sg is holding a series of “Let The Feast Begin” and I was in the second round of the event, also known as the Waterfront Feast @ Riverside Point.

With the disappearing jaw line and expanding waistline, I had chosen to feast at Riverpoint instead of the other events held at Icon Village and Far East Square as it includes 4 restaurant and bars instead of 8! I couldn’t imagine what it will be like to be eating at 8 restaurants in 4 hours! In addition, my friends and I will frequent Clark Quay more often than Tanjon Pagar’s Icon Village and Raffles Place’s Far East Square .

First Stop : Jumbo Seafood Restaurant

Started the feast at JUMBO seafood restaurant. The first Jumbo Seafood outlet is located at East Coast Park and it had been there since 1987! I guess most of the people who stayed in Singapore must have heard of this outlet and the famous Chilli Crab! Jumbo Seafood Restaurant also provides intimate dining options caters to locals, tourist and couples! Diners are able to choose their seats either in air conditioned room or outdoor al fresco with awesome views!I'm a huge fan of al fresco dining even though Singapore is really warm! Some outlets even allow diners to hold private events! Do check out their website for more information!

You need a bib prior to eating a chilli crab!

Executive Chef Ng made an appearance to give a little introduction on both the Chilli Crabs and Salted Egg Golden Prawns!

JUMBO chilli crab! Cooked with Live Sri Lankan Crab stir fried in the famous JUMBO chilli gravy! Staring at the pictures made me hungry again *drools* This dish is created by Chef Ng and awarded The Best Chilli Crab in Tiger Beer Chilli Crab Championship Series 2006.Bet you didn't know this chilli sauce contains 13 types of ingredients!

The Chilli Crab is definitely finger licking good and totally lived up to it's reputation! The crab was fresh with juicy meat. The Chilli sauce is not spicy at all ,just the way I like it.

love the tiny deep fried buns {Man-Tou}a lot! It was a bliss to be eaten hot with the chilli sauce!

We were given the opportunity to try the other signature dish – Salted Egg Golden Prawns. Personally, I love salted egg so yeap, I was quite delighted to have this dish on the menu! Salted egg definitely adds a nice twist to the usual Cereal Prawn .Each mouthful was well balanced with savory {contributed by salted egg} and the sweetness of the fresh prawns! It’s definitely mouth-watering, I want some more please!

Both the Salted Egg Golden Prawns and Chilli crab is getting the thumbs up from me!

In addition, you can try to prepare Jumbo Seafood Restaurant Chilli and Black Pepper Crab at home and all the bloggers were given their newly launched Singapore Chilli Crab Paste and Singapore Black Pepper Crab Spice which was created by their R&D team!

Second Stop :Cafe Iguana

Cafe Iguana is one of Singapore's favorite Mexican restaurant and bars! To be honest, i know nuts about Mexican food besides salsa dips,please do not mock at me for this! I will definitely head back to Cafe Iguana to get to know more about Mexican foods aye! Perhaps i should try out chimichangas and quesadillas on my next visit!

Cafe Iguana also features one of Asia's largest selections of tequilas,margaritas which is known to be made with 100% agave El Charro Reposado .

We were greeted by Ms Erin Frey {marketing and sales manager of Menu,which coincidentally is in charge of Brewerkz too!}. She briefed us through the margarita of June, which is Jose Cuervo Traditional margarita. Cafe Iguana features different premium tequilas each month through it's Margarita of the month promotion!

According to Cuervo website, Jose Cuervo Tradicional is the #1 selling 100% agave resposado tequila in Mexico!It is the first creation of the line and is left in oak barrels for a smoother ,more refined taste.Now you can try the famous tequila right here at Cafe Iguana!

The tequila is very smooth and smells rather..herb-y? I cant put my finger onto which herb is in it but there is definitely herbs involve in brewing. It has a spicy finish too.

Margarita is quite nice. First note is rather sweet, but there is a hint of bitterness. I wonder if Mexican lime is one of the ingredients that contributes to the bitterness. The amount of alcohol given is more than what i usually had from other places.

From this event, i had learn that Kaiyi is not a good drinker-.-
Most of the dishes are made from scratch everyday which includes the corn tortillas and fresh guacamole!

Red Snapper Enchiladas has house made tortillas surround ancho-chilli coated fish,topped with tormatillo sauce .

Eat it with Cholula Hot Sauce which originates from Mexico!I only ate half of the wrap as it is only the second stop and i dot want to fill up my stomach so much! However, i did finish the fish! The fish is well cooked and it's the perfect match with tormmatillo sauce! This dish is well liked by frequent diners as well :)

It's my first time trying Mexican rice! To be honest, i would expect it to be very spicy, i got this perception that Mexican food are supposed to be as spicy as jalapeno! But i was wrong,this dish is coated with tomato sauce and fresh tomatoes . Full of antioxidants aye!

Third Stop :Harry's Bar

Harry's Bar is rather popular in Singapore since Harry's have over 30 premium bars located island wide! I've spotted Harry's at places like CHIJMES and Dempsey! We were ushered to sit in a very cozy corner and got a chance to chat with Roza, the marketing manager of Harry's. She's really sweet and she sat with each and every group of bloggers to give information on Harry's bar transition, from a jazz bar to a gastrobar and currently a sports bar. However, the down side of a sport bar is having too much testosterone in one place! Ms Roza was asking for our opinions on how to attract more female customers etc .

Definitely love the vibe there and everyone just started to let loose and have fun! We were chatting so much that i barely ate my fish and chips :( I am trying my best to fish the HALF portion served !

Brilliant Fish and Chips!The thick fish is thinly coated in batter and fried till golden brown. It's a rather light flavour compared to the first two stops,which is very welcoming after all the heavy food. Its meat is very moist and juicy, good to eat without the sauce!

My all time favourite liquor drink - long island ice tea!

Harry's Bar is a great chill out place with the girls for just an enjoyable night out!

Stop 4: Brewerkz

I had been to Brewerkz a couple of time because of it's high quality American style food and full range of house brewed lager beer! Every item on Brewerkz is made from scratch too, from corned beef to daily baked fresh bread!They even import vanilla beans{ very expensive} and chocolate to make their very own ice cream and desserts! Now, that is a must try for me!

As mentioned earlier, Brewerkz is under the same managing company as Cafe Iguana, we met Ms Erin again for another round of introductions.

The 3 featured beers for tasting
First {far left}
Kolsh 5.0% ABV is a German favourite with minimal bitterness and fine hop. It's not my personal favourite as i would prefer a more bitter beer, not as bitter as Stout tho! Most of the girls would love this !

Steam beer {middle}
Lagers brewed at ale temperatures.Since steam beer uses ale temperature to ferment the beer ,it ended up providing a medium bodied brew instead of full bodied brew obtained using ale yeast to provide a refreshing note which is perfect in the summer!My personal favourite!

Scholar Red Beer {far right}
Songs and poems from China had written about Scholar Red Beer. It is well liked back in the olden days of China where all the scholars would drink this beer! It is made from black glutinous rice and the end product is a reddish hue. It is a full bodied beer and the most bitter amongst the three.

Three variation of buffalo wings were served alongside with the beer. The spiciness of the buffalo wings ranges from mild to suicide. Mild got a stronger sour after taste when compared to suicide. Fret not, suicide is not as spicy either{IMO}

Ended the food feast with a contended tummy and soul , i hope the calories does not add on to my disappearing jawline and expanding waistline!

Bangkok day 2 : CentralWorld & Lebua State Tower Hotel

Here i am , blogging after my Gastronomy event@ Clark Quay with omy.sg! I'm waiting for pictures from Sharon then I'll blog about the event on Monday :3 I'm so bloated after all the good food served to us today !

Day 2 of Bangkok was pretty awesome where XY and I just explore Bangkok on our own. I love Siam Center ,it's stocked with uncountable Hong Kong street wear brands, which is not even available in Singapore ! That's the one and only place i would recommend for my guy friends,unless you are willing to travel down to Union Mall at Lat Prao. If not, it's pretty hard to find good quality men's wear in Bangkok!

Love my new headband i bought in Platinum Mall! It's only SGD 2 bucks! Unbelievable !Such hair bands are sold around SGD 10 at Far East Plaza!

FYI, besides train, busses,mrts and taxis, boat is also one of Bangkok's means of transportation!
The best way to avoid traffic is by taking this boat, it is very cheap too!

Right outside CentralWorld there's The Shrine of Phra Trimurti (also known as the god of love) and Shrine of Phra Pikanet. These are one of the popular god around town besides Erawan Shrine as the god of love is known to grant couple/people who's looking for love wishes.

The Phra Pikanet Shrine is to worship Lord Ganesha,which will help devotees to be wealthy and clear obstacle!

The God of Love got 3 different faces, and is worshiped using roses!

I heard from my friend that the best time to pray for love is Thursday after 930pm!

We decided to pamper ourselves on Day 2 and XY had chosen to had our dinner at AKA Restaurant @ Central World

XY is uber excited for the yakiniku{grilling} buffet!

Some random pretty Thai girl i spotted.

The ala-carte menu is filled with various types of dishes - for just 459baht with drinks{SGD 23}.Choices range from pork spare ribs,marinated meats/fish, and chicken to sirloin and tenderloin.

A random narcissistic shot. Someone once told me, " A blogger need to be narcissistic to keep the blog alive!"

The downside for this buffet is ..we only got 1.30 hours or so to complete the meal

Gyoza,which tasted awful in my opinion

Potato salad - Totally bland

Garlic fried rice- not bad,but not fantastic either

Chilli tofu- is the worst of all. The fried tofu is served cold. -.- I thought fried tofu should be served HOT?

I was quite dissapointed in the quality of food ,but thankfully, the grilling menu is great. So my advice is, skip the appetizer go straight to the grilling dishes.

Then we head to Sky Bar at Lebua State Tower Hotel. If you had watch hangover 2,you will know this hotel! The Sky Bar is right beside Sirocco Restaurant. I heard it costs sgd 250-450 for a 5 course meal per pax!

FYI, State Hotel is around Silom area .

Once we reached the place, we were greeted by really friendly staffs. Up up we go till level 63! Upon entering the open air Sky Bar, all i can say is..the view took my breathe away. Totally stunning and lovely!It boost the view of magnificient Chao Praya River and with the quartet jazz music playing by the side mhmmm,i'm enjoying every minute of it!

Elated XY .Told ya i didnt recommend the wrong place.

As if the booze,nice view,jazz music is not enough, we were treated to a super impromptu firework show!Years spent growing up,gazing upwards at the fireworks display..Have you ever had fireworks bursting infront of your eyes? I mean,like seriously, the eye level less than 400m away?exactly my point.

Too bad, i cant capture any of those fireworks :/

Had no idea what is this snack,all i know it's some kind of bean and it tasted weird hence the facial expression below

This is pretty alright though.

The lobby of the hotel is quite small in my opinion.

Snapped a few shots while waiting for our shopping bags. It is not allowed in both the restaurant and sky bar.Spent a total of 1153 baht {approximately sgd 50} for two,which is worth it because with that kinda view and service, MBS/Sky Bar @KL Tower charges double the rate!

How do I make a good Visumé?

Okay, so i'm going to give you tips on how to make a good Visume! Though i have to admit i'm kinda new to it,but hey, how to make a good visume is similar to how to make a good vlog!

Tip #1: Prepare yourself
Nothing beats the odds of preparing yourself prior to filming. Get a script, choose a background {not too dim and not too bright to the extend your whole features are not clear}, get a prop. Just do whatever to prepare yourself! You dont wanna film a video unprepared. You will end up retaking the same scene tonnes and tonnes of times! By then you'll get restless and tired to even put on your thinking cap!

Tip #2: Voice up and speak at a normal speed.

I'm sure you peeps had definitely see vlogs/tutorial on youtube before. Tell me, what do you dislike the most from any youtuber? Personally, i dislike you-uber who speaks too fast /too soft! I wouldn't even stay to view their whole video! Same applies to Visume too!

Tip #3: Dress niceBy dressing up means you show respect and effort in doing the visume. It's like you're going to an job interview, you wont dress in singlets showing armpit hairs /unshaved face/non make up face right?
